Next class, we did a grammar point that is the reported speech.

It is used to pass direct sentences into in indirect sentences and to say what other person has said.

Examples:
"I'm very happy". Helena said.
Helena said she was very happy.

 "I did a concert yesterday". Malu said.
Malu said she had had a concert the day before.

We have different  types of sentences in the reported speech:

-STATEMENTS: They are refered to people´s opinions or feelings
Example: "The weather was awful tonight".Justin told us
                Justin told us that the weather had been awful that night 
Example: "I don´t like football" I said.
                 I said that I didn´t like football.

QUESTIONS: Interrogatives sentences 
Example: "What do yo do?" .We asked you.  (Open question)
                We asked you what you  did 
 Example: "Are you having a good time"She asked me  (Yes or no question)
                She asked me if/wether I was having a good time.


ORDERS AND REQUESTS:
Example: " Don´t talk so loudly" The teacher odered us  
                 The teacher ordered us not to talk so loudly.
Example: " Please, would you give me a glass of water?" The girl asked me 
                 The girl asked me to give her a glass of water.

SUGGESTIONS: Thet refered to possible plans
Example:"Let´s go to the beach!" I suggested
               I suggested going /that we go to the beach.
Example: "Why don´t we take a break?". I  suggested  them
                I suggested  them  that we take a break / taking a break
